Perth College students are always working hard in their chosen pursuits outside of school, striving for success in the activities they love! Congratulations to the following athletes who have been recognised for their passion, courage and talent in a variety of sports!

Emily, Netball

Year 9 student, Emily, was recently selected into the final squad for the 15/U Interstate Netball team. A fantastic achievement and we wish Emily and the WA teams all the best of luck!

Olivia and Hana, Canoeing

Hana (Year 12) and Olivia (Year 10) represented WA at the 2021 Paddle Australia Canoe Sprint Championships earlier this month. Hana and Olivia both started kayaking through the WAIS Talent Identification Program and competed in a number of team and solo events at the competition in Adelaide last week.

Leah, Hockey

Year 7 student, Leah, has been selected to represent WA in the U12 State School Girls' Hockey team. Due to COVID-19, Leah won't be able to compete in Canberra as was scheduled, but has already started training with the team and is looking forward to competing in Club Championships in Bunbury soon.

Tessa and Aquilla, Rowing

Year 12 rowers, Tessa and Aquilla, have been selected into the 2021 West Australian State Pathway VIII squad! The program is a collaboration between Rowing WA and WAIS, made up of the best school student rowers in the state. This year, the pathway squad will have the opportunity to take part in the national pathway regatta during the next school holidays in South Australia.

Rhiannon, Swimming

Rhiannon (Year 8) was recently announced as part of the 13 to 19 Years Swimming State Squad for 2021 and will compete for the final State Team selection on Friday 4 June!

Sophie, Swimming

Year 5 student, Sophie, recently took out the silver medal in both the 50m and 100m backstroke at her first Junior State Swimming Championship doing herself and her club proud. As well as her medal haul, Sophie achieved a personal best in all her events and placed in the top ten for each one.
