On Thursday 1 February, our top students from the Class of 2023 returned to Perth College for the High Flyers Assembly to recognise and celebrate their outstanding results.

In the Class of 2023, 34 students achieved an ATAR of 95+, including six students who achieved an ATAR of 99+, students who achieved General Exhibition Awards, Subject Certificates of Excellence, and Certificates of Distinctions and Merit.

These outstanding achievements resulted in Perth College being among the Top Schools in the State in 13 ATAR courses, with our Physical Education Studies, Modern History, and Chemistry classes featuring on the Top Schools list for the last five years. Perth College was also named the top school for the teaching of Politics and Legal Studies, with three students, Aimee Bullier, Anabel Whyte, and Lucienne Willinge, achieving Subject Certificates of Excellence. Lucienne also achieved the Subject Exhibition Award as the top-ranked student in the State for Politics and Law.

Camryn Cloughley and Karissa Condo shared reflections on their academic journey, advice, and their fresh perspectives as recent graduates of Perth College.

Summer Ling, one of the top performance music students in Western Australia, gave an incredible piano performance. Summer has been invited to perform at the Performing Arts Perspectives 2024 in March at the Perth Concert Hall.

Our VET High Flyers included students who achieved multiple Certificates, completed at least 110 hours of work placement, and maintained a C-grade average or higher throughout Year 12. Over the past two years, our VET students have been awarded 64 qualifications. This included 34 Certificate II qualifications, 5 Certificate III qualifications, and 25 Certificate IV qualifications.
