ADMINISTRATION ASSISTANT

(Full-time)

Perth College is looking for a full-time Administration Assistant to support our Learning and Teaching (Year 7 to 12) student services activities. This vacancy has come about as a combination of leave cover and will see the successful candidate employed from May to the end of December 2024 with the strong possibility of ongoing employment in the second role outlined below.

Role 1 - May to June 2024

Reporting to the Director of Learning and Teaching (Years 7 to 12), the key duties for this role will include responsibility for coordinating the administrative aspects of our Senior School covers and relief process. This will require the successful candidate to have the ability to commence work at 7.00 am each morning concluding at 3pm. The capacity to manage ongoing communications and relationships with our relief staff outside of normal school hours will also be required.

Role 2 July to December 2024 – with the potential for ongoing in 2025 for the right candidate

This role works closely with our Associate Director of Analytics and Academic Services (Years 7 to 12) providing confidential academic administration support for the processes and practices required in ensuring activities are completed to the appropriate standard and within the required deadlines for the student cycle of activities across the School year. During this period your hours of work will be 8.00 am to 4.00 pm.

An understanding of EdVal, Synergetic and/or SIRS as well a previous School administration experience in the student services area would be considered highly advantageous.

Candidates must also bring a flexible mindset, challenge traditional thinking and be prepared to work outside of their comfort zone in an autonomous fashion. Research and analytical skills will be required.

To be successful in this role you will be a skilled administration assistant who has excellent written and verbal communication skills. Your attention to detail, ability to manage multiple tasks with competing levels of priorities as well as excellent computer literacy will provide you with a platform to succeed in this role. Alongside your technical capacity you will understand the importance of living the values and being an exemplary role model ensuring you are a positive representation of the school.

All roles are required to provide confidential administration support, word processing, spreadsheet management, document preparation and distribution for a range of documents, letters and reports. We seek applicants who sound knowledge in MS Office, database management experience and excellent attention to detail. All roles at Perth College require the proven ability to multitask, organise and prioritise a diverse workload.
