Perth College announces its new Principal for 2019

Dear families and friends of Perth College,

I have some exciting news to share.

I am very pleased to let you know that following an extensive, nationwide recruitment process, School Council has appointed Ms Helen Aguiar as the next Principal of Perth College Anglican School for Girls.

Helen is a currently the Vice Principal of All Saints’ College in Bull Creek and has held the position since January 2014. She also served as the School’s Deputy Principal Pastoral Care for six years. Helen has a Master of Education in Leadership and Management and a Master of Religious Education (specialising in pastoral care). Currently undertaking Doctorate studies, her research explores the institutional factors that influence the wellbeing of newly employed teachers, drawing upon Martin Seligman’s positive psychology framework.

Young, bright and engaging, Helen impressed us with her drive and passion for education. She and her husband, Dr Shane Glasson, have two young children and they are all very much looking forward to joining the Perth College community. I know you’ll make them feel welcome.

Helen will take up the role of Principal in January 2019 – you can ‘meet’ her immediately by watching our video.

Yours sincerely,

Andrea Burns
Chair of Council
