    The Health and Physical Education Department is a dynamic team of staff who work collaboratively to provide a broad and enriching Health and Physical Education programme and co-curricular sporting programme for Perth College students.  Perth College has a strong philosophy of participation with most girls in the IGSSA competition and the Perth College Netball Academy at weekends.  A wide range of sporting opportunities are offered during the year including swimming, tennis, volleyball, cross-country, netball, hockey, athletics, rowing, basketball, water polo, soccer and softball.
     
    Experience with ATAR Physical Education studies (or equivalent) would be essential for this role, as is the ability to demonstrate a breadth of experience across a range of sports.
     
    Coaching and/or playing experience at an elite level in any of the IGSSA sports is also highly desirable.
     
    You need to possess excellent communication and organisational skills, show initiative and have a proven ability to work as part of a cohesive team. You will be able to demonstrate success and innovation in your teaching and coaching with good knowledge in using technology across a broad range of contexts. 
     
    This role commences in 2019.

  • LEARNING ENGAGEMENT TEACHER

    LEARNING ENGAGEMENT TEACHER

    Perth College is seeking an experienced Learning Engagement Teacher to join our dedicated Learning Engagement team. The primary aim of this role is to promote an inclusive educational environment by designing, supervising and assessing the educational programmes of students with a range of learning needs.
     
    Commencing in 2019; this role will initially be focused in Years 7 to 10 working closely with the Head of Learning Engagement and classroom teachers to maximise educational options and outcomes for students with individual learning requirements.  
     
    The ability to work co-operatively, share expertise and resources and enthuse and inspire students is essential for success in this role. 
     
    Your application needs to demonstrate a high level of competency implementing learning engagement strategies in the classroom for Years 7 to 10, as well as an understanding of secondary education structures and pathways. 
     
    Skills in integrating technology across the curriculum, and experience in the classroom using ICT are also required.  Some knowledge of Visible Learning research and Positive Education principles would be considered advantageous.
     
    All Perth College teachers are involved in co-curricular activities and there is a variety of programmes in which the teacher could be involved.
