HEAD OF HOUSE – BOARDING
We are seeking a well-qualified, approachable and enthusiastic Head of House to join our passionate and energetic Boarding House team. Reporting to the Head of Boarding; this role plays a significant role in ensuring our Boarders are safe, cared for, encouraged and valued.
This is a temporary role to cover extended leave for Semester 2 2019. As the Acting Head of Emily House, you would work closely with the Heads of our other two Houses as a unified team in striving for the highest standards of care for our Boarders.
To be successful in this role your application needs to demonstrate your abilities and attainment of:
- Prior experience in a Boarding House
- Tertiary qualifications (nursing or teaching would be preferred)
- Senior First Aid Certificate
- Clear and compassionate understanding of adolescent girls (essential)
- ABSA Duty of Care Certificate (or the willingness to gain this certificate)
The Head of House boarding roster incorporates week day, evening and weekend shifts across the full week (seven days) and you need to have the ability to undertake four shifts each week. In addition, you would participate in our Weekend Management rotation roster, generally two weekends in any one term.
Previous experience in a Boarding House is essential as we need someone who understands the demands of a Boarding House and has the physical capability to be involved in activities included in the Boarding House Recreation Programme.
The ability or willingness to obtain a “MR” Bus License and an “F” endorsement driving license would be considered advantageous.

DESIGN AND TECHNOLOGIES TEACHER
Perth College is seeking a passionate and innovative Design and Technologies teacher with the ability to teach the textiles and the multi-disciplinary lower school Food Science and Technology curriculum.
This is a full-time position commencing Term 3 2019. However, a high part-time role may be considered for the right candidate.
The ability to teach Materials Design and Technology (Textiles) to Year 11 and 12 ATAR level is essential for this role.
The successful applicant will need to be flexible and motivated in the use of pedagogical strategies within a senior school environment and have a proven ability to teach to WACE level or equivalent. Skills in integrating technology in the classroom using a variety of IT packages is also required.
The School has an expectation that all staff will play an active role in pastoral care and co-curricular activities.
