Uniform Shop Manager (Part Time)
Perth College is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic retail Manager for their Uniform Shop and on-line store to ensure the provision of all ranges of Perth College uniforms from Pre-Kindergarten to Year 12 students and for our staff.
Priorities for the role will include management of the day-to-day demands of a retail environment within a School context such as effective and accurate stock management and providing an exceptional customer experience, both in person and online.
This is a part-time position of approximately 25 hours per week. You will need to manage your hours to effectively meet the requirements of the full Uniform Manager requirements across the week.
The Uniform Shop uses an online appointment booking system and the opening hours are:
- Tuesday and Thursday – 12.00 pm to 5.00 pm, and
- Wednesday – 12.00 pm to 6.00 pm
These times do change at various peak periods across the year to manage the increased requirements for appointments at these times. Therefore, flexibility of hours will be required to facilitate effective input and involvement in the full scope of this position.
Commencing as soon as possible, the Uniform Shop Manager will be open and friendly, able to prioritise demands, and have strong verbal and written communication skills. They will have efficient time management skills, and the ability to manage competing tasks and priorities.
The successful candidate must have experience in the clothing retail environment and be confident in the use of software such as Microsoft Office as well as databases to support the effective and efficient administration of all uniform requirements.
Experience in managing a small team of volunteers, having an eye for detail and accuracy is essential. An understanding of textiles and sewing knowledge would be advantageous when dealing with suppliers.
