The Perth College Music program offers an excellent specialist music education by providing an outstanding classroom program and inspiring a high standard of performance through co-curricular musical activities. We are excited to be able to offer this employment opportunity to a person who wishes to be part of a vibrant, busy and hard-working team of Music staff and students.
We seek an outstanding Music Teacher to teach classroom music primarily in Years 7 to 10 with a particular focus on the Music Specialist classes. The role involves directing choirs, playing the piano at Junior School Chapel services and assemblies, and supporting and encouraging students to love music and to excel in performance.
The ability to take on the role of Musical Director of the Kindergarten to Year 12 Junior School musical would be highly regarded.
The successful applicant will be an exemplary classroom teacher with knowledge and training in the Kodaly methodology, possess piano playing skills and management and administrative skills with the capability to work collaboratively with other staff.
This is a part-time 0.63 FTE position commencing in Term 2 2023 to cover parental leave.
