Early Childhood Teacher - Out of School/Vacation Care

(High Part-time)

Perth College Junior School consists of classes from Pre-Kindergarten to Year 6. A dynamic, experienced and professional group of staff work collaboratively in a nurturing environment to provide an enriching and challenging program for Perth College Junior School students.

We are seeking an innovative, dynamic Early Childhood Teacher to act as the Educational Leader in delivering the School’s Out of School Care program. If you have a passion for Early Childhood and love developing young minds, then this opportunity would suit you.

This is a part-time (0.72 FTE) position commencing as soon as possible. This role comes with 5 weeks annual leave and you must have the ability to work 27.5 hours per week undertaken flexibly during service operating hours including during School holiday periods.

You will work under the guidance of the Out of School Care/Holiday Program Manager and Junior School Leadership team to provide a rich learning experience in a purposeful and aesthetically pleasing environment. A warm and personable approach to engaging with the Perth College community is key to success in this position.

Your application needs to include a video clip of no more than one minute in length, outlining your ‘why’ in terms of working as an Early Childhood Teacher and an Educational Leader in Out of School Care environment. A current CV will also be required.

Candidates who progress to interview will need to be willing to participate in a demonstration session with a small group of students who attend Out of School Hours Care.

The ability to work co-operatively, and share expertise and resources with an experienced, dedicated and professional team of Out of School Care Educators is essential as is the capability to enthuse and inspire students.
