Perth College is a vibrant, forward-looking Pre-Kindergarten to Year 12 Boarding School, and in 2022 we celebrated 120 years of experience in education.

As a member of the School’s Leadership Team, the Director of Wellbeing (Years 7 to 12) primary focus will be to deliver on the School’s Wellbeing pillar and drive world-class wellbeing excellence within our inclusive and vibrant community.

Specific responsibilities include leading and enhancing all aspects of wellbeing relating to the day-to-day pastoral and academic progress of students.

To be successful in this role, we are seeking candidates who have demonstrated ability in leading and managing the development of social, emotional and physical wellbeing in a Year 7 to 12 environment, including the effective delivery of best practice process and practices to optimise the individual and collective wellbeing of students.

The ability to relate effectively to a diverse range of staff, students, and our parent community is also essential for this role.

This position offers a wonderful opportunity for a highly motivated and inclusive education leader with knowledge of positive education principles.

This is a full-time, 5-year contract term position commencing Term 1 2024.

Your application must include a cover letter, your current CV and a response to the criteria. The response document MUST be a maximum of two pages in length, and it should clearly detail your:

  1. Demonstrated ability to be an agent for strategic change and leadership of staff to advance a positive culture and the vision and purpose of a school.
  2. Demonstrated effective delivery and evaluation of processes and practices to optimise the individual and collective wellbeing of students.
  3. Demonstrated use of evidence-based or best practice in the strategic planning and delivery of Wellbeing programs.
  4. Demonstrated ability to foster and develop positive relationships with staff, students, and parents in a wellbeing leadership role.
  5. Compliance with State and Federal legislation in regard to Wellbeing and student-related matters.
