Co‒Curricular Activities

Music

Girls may practise on their instruments in the Music Department rooms after school, with Music staff permission. Boarders also have access to the Opus Music Rooms after hours for music practice. The girls can use the music practice rooms during Prep time and during the weekends. There are rooms in the Boarding House itself for practice during non‒Prep times.

Sport

Every Boarder participates in the sporting events arranged by the Physical Education staff or Boarding Staff. There is a wide range of sports available, including the Perth College Netball Academy, Hockey, Rowing, Volleyball, Soccer, Swimming, Athletics, Cricket, Softball, Basketball, as well as Gymnastics and Dance. Competitions are held during the school week and at weekends and Dance performances a regular feature in the school calendar. The Boarding House also offers a permanent Yoga course and other featured sports like Zumba and Self-Defence.

Drama

The Boarders are encouraged to participate in the School Drama productions and those who do not participate are encouraged to attend performances. Boarding staff liaise with the Drama staff to provide transport for girls travelling to and from other schools when Drama activities are conducted away from Perth College. Every Boarder is expected to attend Perth College Drama productions. Our girls conduct a Boarders’ Revue in Term 4 for our Year 12 Boarders and parents. Dance, drama and song are practised frantically to make this a memorable event each year.
