Boarding at Perth College

Dear friends

The Perth College Boarding house is a special one, as it radiates warmth and is recognised for its strong family environment. Our girls come from all around Western Australia, making this a uniquely rural boarding community within a city setting.

We see each girl as an individual who is encouraged to be responsible for her own actions and to contribute to her community. Boarding is a wonderful education in itself and our girls learn many new skills, and have lots of wonderful experiences, that will stay with them for a lifetime.

The transition from home to a boarding environment is made easier through the allocation of an older student as a Mentor, helping to guide new girls through their first year in Boarding. The friendship between these girls usually lasts throughout their schooling and beyond.

The Perth College Boarding House is a warm and homely place to be and girls make friends in this environment quickly. The boarders tend to make the most of the many opportunities at Perth College, reaping the rewards from investing themselves in boarding life.

I welcome contact from parents who are considering a boarding education at Perth College.

Warm regards,

Judy Parker

What our girls say...

As a house, a community and your second home, it feels like you’ve always been at the Boarding House no matter at what age you come in. Boarding life has taught me to be so much more independent, whether it be in washing my own clothes, organisation or self management generally; not to mention opportunities for leadership. ~ Imogen
