Archives

ArchivesThe Perth College Archive collection provides our School and wider community with documentation, enabling reflection on our history. The collection also provides a corporate memory through official documents, publications and architectural drawings. The Archives at the School has also become a heritage centre for collectables such as memorabilia, museum items, photographs and textiles.

As many of our Old Girls and past staff members have significance within the community, the Archive holds and displays items of interest, including memoirs and biographical material.

The Archivist’s role is to collect and process items of enduring value, while providing informative material for in-house or community research. Students also enhance their knowledge of our School’s history by visiting the Archives as part of their Year 8 History assessment.

The School’s year book, Myola, was first published in 1913, compiled by the Sisters recording events of the preceding year. The complete collection of Myola has been scanned and is available for viewing by prior arrangement with the School Archivist.

The Archives are open, by prior arrangement, between the hours of 8.00am – 4.00pm, Monday to Thursday. The School Archivist would welcome any donations of memorabilia or photographs for the School collection.
